Child at Heart ©2002 As I walk through this snow today All I want to do is go on and play Things we did when we were so young Long before our stockings were hung Snow would fall and fall it would do Creating a playground for me and you Watching our town get covered in snow Put on our coats and were ready to go Off in a huff with sleds tagging along Downhill we ride while singing a song Parents near their window envy the fun Wishing once more they could be young Two hours of sleighing we head for home Hot cup of cocoa then back out we roam Frosty was formed to bring him to life Forming one more to give him his wife Castles were made for a war with thee Snow angels were made out of curiosity Along with friends we enjoy this snow Till dad calls out that it is time to go Once Inside we went straight to the fire Called it a day and got ready to retire Older am I now with time winding down My kids in their glory for snow is abound Grabbing their sled they head for a hill Downhill motions they seek for a thrill Thoughts from the past has caught up to me Our parents long ago looking out at thee Wishing once more they could be that young Reflections of our parents is what we become
