Before you fall asleep on Christmas Eve
A thank you note for Santa you can leave

Cookies and milk on the table at night
If Santa gets hungry he can have a bite
 
Thoughts of joy running through your head
Hang stockings before it is off to bed

Then off to sleep, 20 winks should do
Tomorrow will come, the day will be new

When awakened you are filled with joy
For Santa came by and left you a toy.
