 Hustle & bustle of everyday life just went into overdrive
 One special occasion called Christmas will soon arrive 
 Please listen to this holiday story that needs to be told
 With a different type of an ending that has yet to unfold

 Many weeks are still around before this holiday occasion 
 Department stores gear up to handle consumer frustration
 Why is it imperative to start stocking shelves so soon?
 When Christmas only falls under a chilly December moon?

 A cashier playing a holiday song only their boss can hear
 Depriving their workers from having a real Christmas cheer
 Walk into any store, plenty of discount & sales to behold
 Seems like our message about Christmas still goes untold

 I always wondered who made this such a joyous giveaway
 Where did the tide turn to make this a shopping holiday?
 The moral of this story which I am now ready to unfold
 Is my rendition of a holiday season, if I may be so bold?

 Look back in history when youth & time was still muttered
 Innocence of the younger mind that has yet to be cluttered
 The answer is there but you have to look in the right place
 It will not be on any paper, rather on that Childs face

 House watching was a hobby for our family to be together
 To gaze upon the holiday lights & define which was better
 Before the show was over a stop was needed to pick a tree 
 One that we take home & decorate it with the entire family

 Kids lined up at the local town square to meet Mr. Kringle
 With every favor being asked, his bell seems to give a jingle
 The joy of seeing carolers singing straight from their heart
 As this Christmas mystery begins to unfold; now I will start

 Christmas is not a time to go broke mathematically
 No price tag should be on something that is given away
 Christmas can be felt not wrapped under a decorative tree
 All value now on feelings shared with friends & family

 Gather the family; feel free to let your heart open awhile
 Maybe letting your feelings out is not quite your style 
 Christmas comes once a year, the time seems to be right
 3 magical words can change a course of any child’s flight
 
 If you are away for Christmas & can pick up a phone to call
 Parents should be first to have their phone ring off the wall
 Give the answer they took for granted, but was never said
 Thank you for the life you gave me, love you mom and dad

 Call upon friends; give them a few minutes out of your day
 Let them know you are thinking of them during this holiday
 This message was always in sight, just wanted our attention
 The meaning to Christmas is the need of loving redemption
 
 A story from my heart has been told so it can be passed on
 Don't let greed get a hold of this special holiday occasion
 Let us stop dividing Christmas into so many different views
 What is in our heart has more value we all can learn to use
