 The malls are filled every line is full
 kids all screaming a man with red wool
 Noise level peaks not a soul can think
 then in a flash sanity is on the brink

 A song on the speaker came in real clear
 an over stuffed man with eight reindeer
 Glance to the left and once to the right
 where is peace on earth or a silent night?

 Arrived at home went straight for my chair
 a look at our tree, no time I can spare
 Wrap & wrap, then I wrap a little more
 gifts are now tagged I yelled "What for!?"

 Laying presents under the tree this night
 claiming a victory from this paper fight
 I glance at our tree then at the time
 peered at the stockings I curse a rhyme

 A coffee for sure a cookie just fine
 Stockings now full it is about time!
 Gazed at the window a glimmering moon
 Then off to bed not a moment to soon

 Christmas Eve now to go down in history
 Tradition carried on there is no mystery
 Silence now here so before you go away
 I would like to wish you a Happy Holiday!
